I wasn’t going to write this post. I’m always really reluctant to post product reviews on this site, because I don’t have a good sense of how you guys react to them. I’m very wary that people will think I’m selling out, or being greedy or something like that.

Then I also realized something else. This product is totally worth writing about.
Many of you have asked me how I make money. Well I make money from no less than half a dozen different sources, but affiliate links on this site and others are one of those ways. There are people out there who make six figure incomes or more each year by affiliate marketing.
For those of you who aren’t familiar with the concept of affiliate marketing, essentially the way it works is that you post a link on a site, if someone clicks that link and subsequently buys the product, you get a commission. Pretty cool right?
Well, to be honest its easier said than done. There are a lot of different approaches you can take, and the reality is thast many of them are pretty sleazy.
That’s where Corbett Barr’s Affiliate Marketing for Beginners comes in.

Corbett, and this course, are about as far from sleazy as it gets. With his two other sites Free Pursuits and Think Traffic being favorites of mine, he is probably a step or two ahead of me when it comes to really making this whole entrepreneurship thing work (I’m right behind him though!).
His latest site aims to teach people who have never made an affiliate sale in their life, exactly how to do it.
And, after spending a few hours on the site, I will personally attest to this:
It’s really freaking good.
As I mentioned, I initially didn’t want to post another product review. But since so many people ask me about how I make money, and how they can start making money on the internet, I figured I’d make an exception. Because this is as good as good, or better, than any course I’ve seen on the topic.
One of my favorite parts about this program is the fact it’s very step by step, and it doesn’t make any assumptions. It walks you through the basics of keyword research, how to set up a site, how to drive traffic to a site, and ultimately how to convert sales – all key components in making money via affiliate marketing.
If you’re hoping to start your internet empire, but don’t know where to begin, I’d definitely recommend giving this program a shot. I’d also start a blog, but if you’ve been reading this site for awhile, you already knew about that one.
BONUS: I know that so far I’ve been very vague about my upcoming project Overcoming the Fear of Uncertainty, so I’m going to throw in a few (ok, two) more details. It will be launching SOON. I actually bought the program so I can confirm the quality of its content. Corbett does a good job of addressing the needs of his students. Additionally it isn’t a static product – as he refines the product based on the feedback of his customers it is only going to get better.

Great post, Sean. I’ve hear nothing but great things about Corbett’s course and I’m definitely going to try it out. I’m currently implementing a two year relocation plan to Thailand and getting started in affiliate marketing seems like the perfect way to supplement and fund that plan.
And in regards to the naysayers who complain about topics like this- screw them! For every one of the ones who complain, there are 20 people who love and can benefit from the information.
