Le Happy Hour

A Painting of Le Happy creperie in Portland, Oregon

This week we are featuring another fantastic off-the-beaten-track happy hour.  The place is called Le Happy.  Located under the 405 next to Slabtown on NW 16th and Marshall, you would never guess the joys that await you inside this crepe oasis.

Le Happy features a wide variety of savory and sweet crepes, that are some of the best I have ever had.  Second best to be exact (the crepes at Chez Michou in Buzios, Brazil take the top prize).  But these are fantastic nonetheless.  During their happy hour from 5-7 you get a buck off any drinks, and I would recommend going for the “Le Trash Blanc”.  This bacon and cheese crepe paired with the always classy PBR, is a great deal for $5.50.

On any given night you will find a huge mix of people at Le Happy.  In the early evening expect to see more families as the place is all ages til 9.  Then after that, the hipster crowd makes its way in and will stick around all night playing one of the many complimentary board games Le Happy has in stock.

Le Happy is a great place for drinks, dinner or dessert.  If you happen to go the dessert route, be sure to check out the nutella strawberry crepe.  Chances are you will want two.

It  is open at 5 and stays open til 1 during the week and 2:30 on weekends.  Closed Sunday.

Check out past happy hours in the Portland Life section.

Greetings,

I’m really enjoying your blog. Many of your themes resonate with me as I am a photographer and dreamer living near Portland Or. By day, I dream of a day when I can quit my corporate job and leave the cubicle behind in favor of traveling and documenting the world through my lens and through my words. By night, I follow my bliss and pour myself into networking and creating and taking photos.

The painting in this post caught my eye because I took a picture just like it….

Look forward to diving deeper into your blog,
Best regards,
Lisa
