Introducing Location Rebel

locationrebel

Over the last several months we’ve witnessed the organic development of a community. Lifestyle designers, artists, entrepreneurs, freelancers and travelers from the United States, England, Australia, India, Thailand, Japan — literally all over the world — coming together to reject the status quo and live out what others had told them couldn’t or shouldn’t be lived.

None of us planned for this. Most of us fell into it. Here is a community of people who think as we do, who aspire to be what we aspire to be. People we can commiserate with, learn with, grow with, and most importantly, succeed with. Here we have potential business partners, mentors… and friends.

We’ve all gotten to know each other quite accidentally, whether it was from a comment on a blog, a direct message on Twitter, or a quick email. These communications snowballed into what we have today.

And now… it’s time to take it a step further.

We’ve been stumbling through this community haphazardly. We’ve lacked any central organization to hold our conversations and our relationships and to track our growth… until now.

Introducing LocationRebel.com

LocationRebel is a collaborative effort between Sean Ogle of Location180 and J. D. Bentley of Wage Slave Rebel to maintain a central location for lifestyle designers, entrepreneurs, freelancers
and travelers to learn from one another, ask questions, meet up, tell stories and make history!

The site is currently live and we would love for you to take part. Here are a few things you can do:

1) Check out the site and sign up. If you are interested in being a part of the community (and we really hope you are) leave a comment introducing yourself and/or help us begin building the site by starting a new discussion.

2) Give us any and all feedback about things you like, dont like, and want to see added or changed in the future

3) The best way for this community to be successful is to get as many people involved as possible. So over the coming days and weeks if you like the direction it is heading, tell people about it! Blog posts, tweets, newsletters, however it is you like to communicate with people, we would love to build up some momentum for this!

We hope to see you there!

Thanks,

Sean Ogle, Location180

Thanks Jill! We are really excited about it too! It is just hard to believe that the community is lacking a central hub for everyone to communicate. We are hoping this fills that void!
