It isn’t very often that I promote a product or a service on Location 180, but when I find something that I truly believe in, I will do whatever I can to support it.
Since meeting Greg Rollett a few months ago, he has continued to impress me with both his writing (check out his guest post “A Recipe to a Life of Action“) and the quality of his content. Every time I head over to his blog, I find some little piece of wisdom that reminds me why he is such a good person to pay attention to.
So needless to say, when I found out about his new product launch, I knew it was going to be good.
The Under Thirty Rockstar Business Series is exactly the kind of thing that I wish was around 6 months ago when I started this site. The goal of the project is to teach you to utilize the power of the internet and social media to take your personal brand or business to the next level. Greg has been working with two other successful entrepreneurs (Matt Wilson and Jared O’Toole of Under 30 CEO) to ensure that they would create the ultimate guide to building a business.
So you are probably wondering what exactly you get with this product. Well, the basic front end product is a series of 7 modules that covers all of the main topics of business building via the internet: blogging, social media, SEO, Marketing and Monetization, Core Influence, Reputation and Credibility, and Driving Traffic. Now I can relate to each one of these in some way or another, and frankly I was stoked when I first started digging into them, because it was answering questions that I still have after months of blogging.
Each module consists of a 45-60 minute video, as well as a workbook, that in itself is worth the price of admission. Oh, and the best part is, it only costs seven bucks. Yeah, seven bucks.
While I think just about anyone will be able to grab a ton of value from these modules, I think the $7 product is especially essential for those of you just getting started with your personal brands, blogs or businesses. It walks you through all the important facets of getting set up in WordPress, creating useful content, and building traffic to your site. All the same stuff I was just doing for a buddy of mine and his new blog, is laid out clearly enough that anyone should be able to do it.
One of the coolest parts about this entire series, is the fact that it is so comprehensive. I have spent hours looking for information on all of these topics, and you never know what kind of information, if any, you are going to find on the topic you are looking for. Well with the Rock Star Business Series it’s all there. It’s extremely detailed, and should give you enough information to keep you busy for months while growing your business.
If you are serious about building your business, you aren’t going to want to stop there. These guys are the real deal, having successfully done everything that they have talked about. So lucky for us, they are offering an even more in depth “backstage pass”. This is the feature that, while a bit (ok, a lot) more expensive, I think is going to be most useful for those who are looking to make a serious lifestyle change.
For $49/month, the backstage pass is an all access subscription to everything these guys are offering. Here is a quick look at some of the features:
- Private Member Forums: “Ask questions, share your successes, and have a place where you can communicate with the people in your shoes, as well as Greg, Matt and Jared who have already been there.
- Office Hours: Each week these guys schedule specific times when they are making themselves available to help you with anything you are working on. It’s like college all over again. Go to the professor, and get one on one help with whatever issues you are struggling with. This alone, makes the monthly fee worth it.
- Extensive Video Training: “If the Rock Star Course is the overview, this section in the members dashboard is the treasure map. Every month, Jared, Matt and I will be loading in step-by-step videos showing you how we use tools to make our businesses tick. From advanced SEO to merchant accounts to Social Media to outreach, press and business models. These are never seen before videos made exclusively for Rock Star members. Where will your treasure map lead you?”
- Live Sessions: You don’t get to be where these guys are without making a few friends along the way. Now they are looking to make their connections work for you, by having scheduled live sessions with some of the biggest entrepreneurs and social marketers out there. On December 16th, the first session features Eric Schechter, the social media manager for Clickbooth, one of the fastest growing CPA networks in the country.

Just a portion of the advanced tutorials you get with the Backstage Pass
That’s just a portion of all of the stuff that is being offered with the backstage pass.
Looking back on this, I am realizing how this post kind of sounds like one big sales pitch. However, like I said, I am a member, and have used this stuff first hand. I wouldn’t promote it, if I didn’t honestly believe it could help you build your brand or business. So even if you aren’t interested in spending a ton of money, you should at least check out what they are offering, and I would be more than happy to answer any questions about my experience with the products.

I’m right there with you. I’ve gone back and forth with Greg and his crew a few times. I did the initial Business Series launch and it was incredibly valuable….I recommend it for those looking to sharpen their game and meet some like minded people.
Hey Robert, thanks for the support. We are looking to help some cool people grow some even cooler brands!
Interesting. I’ve seen some things about this product on the web but haven’t seriously looked into it. Sounds like I should check it out.
I don’t want this to sound like a Debbie Downer post because it is not. But I find myself constantly thinking, how many more lifestyle designers are going to be able to support themselves with blogs/ebooks/etc about “How to be a Lifestyle Designer”?
Eventually this market will be saturated like the Miami condo market if some content is not added. Props to the early adopters who saw the opportunity and jumped! They will be the most likely to sustain themselves.
Really, I wish I had been as astute. I gave up the idea of a LD/Travel blog when I ran into two seperate people around town last month who started pitching the same thing to me.
Good luck to everyone in achieving their dreams – that I am 100% serious about.
