We all have something in our lives that we want to do yet haven’t done. There is that one thing that we continue to make excuses for and will never make any progress unless we embrace a shift in thinking. For me, this thing is traveling abroad. For the last few years, and the last few months in particular I have had a strong urge to spend time traveling, and experience things outside of the tiny little town of Portland. However, I obviously haven’t much of that. What is holding me back? I’m not getting any younger, and the time couldn’t be better for me to go see what the world has to offer. I am slowly coming the the

Throughout the course of my life I have had no shortage of things to keep me busy. When I was younger I balanced tennis lessons every day after school, with learning to play guitar and skiing on the weekends. Not to mention wanting to go rock climbing with friends, and take as many trips as possible. There was always something going on. One of the biggest problems I face in life is my general interest in doing new things. It doesn’t take much for me to get excited about something, and for a period of time I will focus all my energy on this new activity. The problem lies in the fact that after awhile my ADD kicks in and

I would like to preface this review with the fact that this is the FIRST product review I have ever done on this site. This is mostly due to the reason that I don’t want to review anything I can’t stand behind 100%. There ARE affiliate links in this post, but don’t feel any pressure to use them. I wouldn’t recommend anything I don’t fully believe in, and I truly feel that this is very valuable information. – Over the last few months I have always been impressed by the quality of blog posts coming from David Walsh’s site Muse Life. It seems like everything he says is directly aimed at me, and it carries the weight of a freight

This is a guest post from Colin Wright of Exile Lifestyle. Colin is currently in the process of moving to Buenos Aires, Argentina where he intends to run his design business via a location independent lifestyle. – I’ve never really hung out with people my age. This might stem from my early days of employment, back when I was 14 and spending all my time with the 20-something ladies that were my coworkers at this indy bookstore down the street from my school. Regardless of why I did it, being more or less constantly around an older crowd has given me a handful of distinct advantages over those who hang out with only people their age or younger. One

First off, the title may be slightly misleading as I have yet to monetize this blog in any way, shape or form. Not a single cent has touched my bank account, and I know very little about blog monetization, nor have I had much interest in the concept up until this point. However, I want to be very forthcoming with my goals and intentions regarding Location180 because I don’t want anyone to feel as if they have been mislead, duped, or talked into buying something they really didn’t want. My absolute number one priority is to provide valuable, interesting content and meet a ton of awesome people in the process. I have met more people over the last two months

While I am the first person to admit that I am far from an experienced traveler, I have been to more places than many. As I am currently looking forward to all of the places that I would like to go, I couldn’t help but look back at some of my favorite places that I have already been. Covering the spectrum from wild and rowdy, to relaxed and subdued, here is the list of my top five favorite travel destinations. #5: Las Vegas, Nevada Las Vegas is a city unlike any other in the world. Where else can you visit the Brooklyn Bridge, Eiffel Tower and an Egyptian Pyramid all in one night? Vegas is a place that you either

Recently I have found myself slightly overwhelmed. This is the first time in my life where I have been unsure of what is next. All through grade school and high school, I always knew what was coming. After eighth grade, comes ninth. I had known since I was 12 which college I would be attending. Six months before graduation, I had a job fall in my lap. Everything has always been easy. I have never had to make much in the way of life changing decisions. Fast forward to now. I have been at my job for two years, and I am not sure it is where I want to be spending the next two. I am extremely grateful for

Follow him on Twitter at www.twitter.com/jdbentley or www.twitter.com/wsrebel. – On the night of September 12th 2007 I sat tucked away in an isolated office in the basement of an abandoned building and waited for the clock. I had been sent to the hospital’s East Campus — a building that formerly housed the mentally unstable but now contained marketers and designers — to mop floors and empty trash cans for one last night. At 10:55PM I would turn off the lights, lock the doors and make my way up
